15 Minutes of Fame

In this project, entire catalogs of super stars' works are compressed into exactly 15 minutes – a commentary to an Andy Warhol prediction. This particular file compresses all studio albums by David Bowie (originally over 18 hours) into the 15 minutes. (Press ↓ "Show More" for more info.)

In the 60's, Andy Warhol predicted that "In the future, everyone will be world-famous for 15 minutes.” Warhol was quite the visionary. Who else could have predicted 50 years ago that the Internet would make it possible for anyone to broadcast themselves to the masses?

Warhol also could have been predicting the over-saturation of media, where the abundance of content has reduced the exposure of even the most talented artists down to the same 15 minutes. (i.e. "Everyone" [including the most deserving stars,] will be famous for _only_15 minutes.)

Also available is an addendum to this Bowie project.
